This site is a tribute to Richard Rathbone, our Papa Ric.
A truly wonderful husband, father, grandad, father in law and friend to many. He had a heart of gold and will be sorely missed by those who knew and love him.
The world will have a little less laughter and light without him here, but in his own words just a few weeks ago...
"Don't cry for me, I'll see you on the other side."
Taken from us all too soon, and desperately missed, 18.5.20
Very special memories of a very special gentleman. Richard and Maureen welcomed us into their family and we've shared wonderful times and many family celebrations together. A couple of fond memories: After years of me not eating meat Richard enticed me to eat his homemade chicken pie. It was delicious and I still eat chicken to this day. He was always very proud of this. Today on Father's day I remember the 'Coriander' incident. I was invited to join Maureen, Richard, Corinne and Brendan for a Father's Day lunch at a local Indian restaurant. I somehow sent our whole table of drinks, cutlery, plates and vase of flowers up into the air drenching everything and leaving everyone with no drinks, no cutlery or plates and sitting on wet chairs. We all laughed so much. Happy memories. Richard we send you lots of love today and every day. Jackie and Colin xxxx

Today was a very hard day for the rathbone family to say goodbye to Richard. Shame I couldn't be there in person. I will always remember Mr rathbone he always had a story to tell when I visited his son you can tell he lived his life. He always had a joke to make you laugh. You will be sorely missed till we meet again Mr R
